BAG LIMIT

A bag limit MAY NOT contain more than two bucks, but MAY CONTAIN up to four does in certain zones. The bag limit for archery is the same as the statewide limit. On WMAs closed during the modern gun season, archery hunters may take deer of either sex. The season bag limit for does taken by firearms varies by zone. It includes the muzzleloader (October and  December hunts), the modern gun deer and Christmas Holiday Modern Deer Hunt.

THREE POINT      RULE

To be legal, a buck must have antlers shorter than two inches or at least three points on one side of his rack before being taken. The three point rule applies to deer hunts statewide. It is a strategy to increase the age of bucks by reducing pressure on younger bucks.
Since the end of the main beam constitutes one point, two additional points at least one inch long must be present.

FOUR POINT    RULE

Bayou Meto, Cut-Off Creek, Dagmar, Rick Evans/Grandview Prairie, Henry Gray/Hurricane Lake, Lafayette County, Rex Hancock/Blaxk Swamp, St. Francis National Forest, Trusten Holder, U of A Pine Tree Experimental Station WDA and Wattensaw Wildlife Management Areas have a four - point rule, which requires that a buck have at least four points on one side of his rack or have antlers shorter than two inches before taken.
